Westerns are part of John’s DNA. Born in Tucson, Arizona and the first years on a ranch until his father took a job in Hollywood. Then the sets and back lots of Gunsmoke, Broken Arrow, Have Gun Will Travel became his playgrounds. But what truly sealed his love of westerns was the Saturday afternoons at the movie theater watching Randolph Scott western serials. The love of westerns never left his spirit as he lived in many places in the States. Books and movies filled that love of cowboys and all of their adventures. In 2012 he moved to the Southwestern Canadian Rockies, and once his life settled he began to write westerns. Eventually exploring the rich cowboy heritage of Alberta, Canada.
