Rebecca Ventre

Hello! My name is Rebecca Ventre! I am from Lafayette, Louisiana, and I love living in Acadiana. I love food, music, and being outside. I love to laugh… but who doesn’t?! Most of all, I LOVE Jesus and my family! I am a mom to four wild and wonderful kids who keep me walking the line between crazy and fun! I have always loved writing poems and stories, and I am thankful for my amazing parents that encouraged me in countless ways. I am registered nurse, and enjoyed working for 10 years with wonderful people caring for unforgettable patients. I am currently staying at home with little ones who give me loads of love and inspiration! I love children’s books! My favorite author as a child was Shel Silverstine, and there are too many others to list! One day I decided to tackle my dream of publishing children’s books, and it has been so much fun! My kids are included in the stories and design of the books. Some of their art work and favorite toys are displayed. The amazing illustrator had many candid photos of our family to capture our facial expressions and world in a fun way! The grouchy mom was originally an idea by my 2nd daughter, who after a LONG day and several bedtime stories giggled and said, “There should be a book called the grouchy mom!” So…. now there is! I really hope you and your children enjoy these stories as much as we do! My goal is to give parents and children a moment away from reality, where they can sit together sharing a laugh or making their imagination run wild!
