Nyssa Corbin is a homeschooling mother of four who writes to promote awareness of child abuse. Through the thorough retelling of biographical events, she urges action by those who witness abuse, as well as encouragement for those who have suffered through traumatic childhood events. She and her husband are currently working to open a camp for children in the foster care system. This camp would teach self defense skills, outdoor appreciation and nutrition education. They would also hope to offer individual counseling, as well as group therapy. Their goal is to offer these children access to character and self-esteem building opportunities. The camp is name for the sister lost in the events of the “Dark Secret” book... “Camp Alexandria”.
