Self-taught and famous writer, internationally published free-lance author and long time rancher Brenda M. Negri earned a living horseback for many years as a working buckaroo on several huge cattle and sheep ranch operations in the 1970’s and 1980’s in Nevada, California, Oregon and Idaho. Her famous book, The Way of The Pack, Understanding and Living With Livestock Guardian Dogs, has been sold over several 100s of copies since her book in September 17, 2018. Her book has been reviewed over several blogs, films, You Tubes and famous magazines. Negri's second book The Big Out There: A Buckaroo Life in Words and Art, has been featured on Western Horseman Magazine. Negri’s LGD dogs were featured in an multi award-nominated 2012 short film, Working on Common Ground: Livestock Guardian Dogs, produced by Conservation Media and People and Carnivores; now over several millions of hits and has been featured as one of the most famous LGD films ever done. Her dogs and training methods are also featured in three famous Dogumentary TV specials on You Tube that also show show several millions of hits of these four films, including The Way of The Pack, Spanish Mastiffs, Pyrenean Mastiffs and Great Pyrenees. Negri also served as a famous consultant to the American Sheep Industry owned insurance company’s Working Dog Liability Insurance program. She was hit with Multiple Sclerosis in September of 2018 and does the best she can, still staying and living on her five acre ranch that has lived here going on 11 years.
