Elyn Joy

Elyn Joy was raised in Sioux City, Iowa; there, her love affair with words began while fabricating stories and poems while swinging on the red swingset beneath the willow tree on Jackson street. She has been writing much of her adult life, even amidst her flurry of teaching and parenting duties through the years. Elyn has lived in Colorado for almost three decades and considers the mountains her greatest natural inspiration (aside from her quirky cats and the resident wasp nest --yes, she loves them and finds them kind of cute). Here, she has written and edited numerous books and programs, mostly education-oriented. Today, Elyn Joy is juggling several children's book projects, including a new step-reader series and a young adult novel. Her first children's picture book, Everyone has a Point of View (To Tell the World Publishing 2018), was written in the wee hours one night last year and took shape with the help of illustrate Elena Paun.
