关于作者

I tell stories for a living at ABC News as the network's chief national correspondent. I've covered the news from nearly 50 countries around the globe, including wars in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, disasters all over the world, and more shootings in the US than I'd like to remember. I am the author most recently of No Time To Panic: How I Curbed My Anxiety and Conquered a Lifetime of Panic Attacks, which chronicles my three-and-a-half-year effort to escape panic's grip. After a terrible reckoning—an on-air panic attack that shook my foundation—I tried everything from pharmaceuticals to breathwork, cognitive-behavioral therapy to psychedelics, before I found a path toward peace of mind. My first book, The Boys in the Cave: Deep Inside the Impossible Rescue in Thailand, is about the rescue of the Thai soccer team that was trapped in a flooded cave in Northern Thailand in 2018. It was the first book to reveal how dangerous the rescue was and the monumental risks taken to save those boys and their coach. It's also shows the intrigue, politics, and sheer guts that went into the mission. I live in Los Angeles with my wife and two children.
