Dante R. Brizill has been a Social Studies educator for the last 20 years in Delaware and Maryland. He has a Bachelors degree in History from Hampton University and a Masters in Teaching degree from Wesley College. In 2018 he wrote his first book of the "Greatness Under Fire" series on the Pearl Harbor hero Doris "Dorie" Miller. This was followed up by "Red Ball Express: Greatness Under Fire" (2020) and "Black Women in WWII: Greatness Under Fire." Brizill has been published in WWII Quarterly Magazine, the Delaware News Journal, the Cecil Whig, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Richmond Times-Dispatch, and the Dallas Morning News. A lifelong history buff, Brizill has always been passionate about helping young people recognize the contributions of all Americans. Stay tuned for his next book!
