Henry J. Cordes is an award-winning journalist in Omaha, Nebraska who has written several non-fiction books documenting stories in his native state. His most recent, 2018's "Pathological," tells the story of a doctor-turned-serial killer and his thirst for revenge against colleagues he believed short-circuited his career, and of the determined detectives who stopped him just before he killed again. Cordes previously wrote two books documenting the University of Nebraska's national championship football teams, "Unbeatable: Tom Osborne and the Greatest Era of Nebraska Football" (2012) and "Devaney: Birth of a Dynasty" (2014). Cordes lives in Omaha and continues to work as a senior staff writer for the Omaha World-Herald.
