Syed Sameer Aga

Dr. Aga Syed Sameer is currently working as the Assistant Professor of Biochemistry in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Jeddah (KSAUHS), KSA. He is also serving as the Chairperson of Quality Unit in COM-J, KSAUHS. Dr. Sameer was born and bought up in Srinagar, Kashmir. He graduated in Sciences from the prestigious Sri Pratap College in Srinagar and went on doing his Masters (MSc) in Biochemistry from University of Kashmir. Dr. Sameer completed his Doctorate (PhD) in Biochemistry from Sher I Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Kashmir. He has also qualified prestigious National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India, a premier R&D funding agency, for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). He has a research experience of almost a decade in the field of genetics and molecular biology and a teaching experience of almost nine years in the field of medicine. He has published almost 70 odd scientific papers in national and international journals of repute on wide variety of topics including Genetics, Molecular Biology, Oncology, Biochemistry, Colorectal, Breast, Prostate, Esophageal and Bladder Cancer etc as first as well as corresponding author. He is also an Editorial Member of World J of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Reviewer of many Reputed Journals like PLOS Genetics, Tumor Biology, Frontiers Oncology, Gene, IJHG, IJMR etc. He has also written seven books on biochemistry and biotechnology.
