Michael William Hogan has written many highly acclaimed and award-winning feature and short film screenplays, short stories, webisodes and children’s books. He has also won dozens of awards for his short films that have screened at festivals in the US and globally. As a kid growing up in Michigan, Michael’s family would spend summers at a cabin on the shores of Lake Huron. There Michael would float on the “high seas” aboard his self-built raft, hunt frogs in the tall reeds of inland ponds, and hike trails through the forest enjoying the fresh air and wildlife. His days were filled with exploration and adventure, and those early years have had a huge impact on his storytelling. Today, the young boy from the Midwest may have aged, but he hasn’t necessarily grown up. You may find Michael cutting through thick jungle on an island in the South Pacific or trekking through remote mountains of Colorado. And when not out seeking a new adventure, he’s typically hunkered down at his computer creating new worlds, compelling characters, and scintillating stories to share with his grandkids…and you.
