Following a career in nursing and social work, David graduated as a mature student with first-class honours in Contemporary Military and International History from the University of Salford in 2009. From 2012 to 2022, David worked as a battlefield/historical guide with Leger Battlefield tours covering the Rise & Fall of the III Reich, the Holocaust, Bomber Command, the Cold War, D-Day, and Waterloo. David currently works as an English & History tutor and as a tour director with Just Go Holidays and Albion Heritage Tours.
