Paul Marsden has had a diverse, successful career including being a Member of Parliament, Secretary-General at European construction trade association, Head of Quality at Horizon Nuclear Power and more recently Head of Quality at the £5 billion Trans Pennine rail improvement scheme between Manchester and Leeds. He is born and bred in Cheshire, England but his family has more Welsh linage than English and he has worked and travelled across four continents.
Paul is a Chartered Quality Professional with the Chartered Quality Institute and has nearly 30 years' experience of quality management in construction, telecommunications, banking, security, aerospace and energy.
His writing career includes contributing to Simon & Schuster's Voices for peace in 2001, The Black Friars of Shrewsbury booklet in 2006 and more recently his book, 'Digital Quality Management in Construction', published by Routledge sets out the 'Quality Information Model' placing smart digital information management at the heart of construction quality covering Processes, People, Machines and Materials.
Paul's interest in philosophy during the pandemic's lockdown led to him writing a short book on aphorisms, 'Valorising Esse' and his new book, 'Philosophers and the Meaning of Life' is due to be published by Imprint Academic in 2023.
Paul is married to Elena and they live in North Wales.
