Mari Ruddy is a writer, blogger, educator, amateur endurance athlete and she is a big fan of dogs and LinkedIn. Mari wrote the book "Extreme Healing: Reclaim Your Life + Learn to Love Your Body." It’s the story of how you can find salvation and learn to love your body through movement. Cycling, running and triathlon carried Mari through trauma, type 1 diabetes and two rounds of breast cancer and it shows how you too can take your challenges and reclaim your life. Mari co-wrote "Open to Outcome: A Practical Guide for Facilitating and Teaching Experiential Reflection." Open to Outcome grew out of her involvement with the high school orientation program, Link Crew, which she helped build. Mari was a coach, trainer and orientation speaker with Link Crew for more than ten years. Mari created the Red Rider program that is used to celebrate participants with diabetes at the many Tour de Cure bike rides for the American Diabetes Association. She owned and operated Team WILD Athletics that trained people with diabetes to be endurance athletes. Mari lives in Minnesota with her athletic dog Sam where they swim, bike, run and do triathlons. Mari works as an Internship Coordinator at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She coaches people on how to make their LinkedIn profile sing.
