Stephen Saad is a British expat in Thailand; having lived in the country for 10 years and, overall, with over 20 years of travelling to, working in and staying in Thailand. Three of these years were back in the early 2000s when Steve was based in Saraburi, working for a financial software company. Steve speaks Thai fluently.
Having had a 15 year plus career in investment banking and banking systems, Steve took a career break, returned to Thailand in 2017 to continue writing Thailand related books, something which he had started in the previous year while planning his exit from his banking career.
Steve has written ‘100 Thai words that make you sound Thai’ – an intermediate level book aimed at helping people speak everyday Thai fluently and naturally – and ‘100 Thai words to start speaking Thai’ – a beginner level pocketbook that offers more than a phrasebook. Having expanded into distributing third-party books, Steve now spends his time further developing his book publishing and distribution business – Arun Press.
