Mike Mattos is first and foremost, a teacher. He proudly taught secondary social studies, served as student government advisor, and coached volleyball and basketball. He is also an awarding-winning principal, having served at schools that were awarded National Blue Ribbon, National Title 1 Achieving, California Distinguished, and Model Professional Learning Community School status. Combining both powerful research and hands-on experience, Mike has co-authored over a dozen best-selling books through the publishing company, Solution Tree. For the past decade, he has presented and consulted all over the world, sharing how to ensure student learning by working as a professional learning community (PLC) and creating highly effective systems of intervention and extension (RTI/MTSS).
Personally, Mike is married to his college sweetheart, and they are blessed with a daughter who is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology.
