Drew Kopp

Drew Kopp is a Professor of Writing Arts at Rowan University. His published articles (in the journals The Journal for the History of Rhetoric, Turning Toward Being: the Journal of Ontological Inquiry in Education, Intraspection, Rhetoric Review, JAC, and Kairos) explore two trajectories within the field of rhetoric and writing studies. One examines the practices of ontological inquiry, its implementation in the development of curricula, and the role such inquiry plays in transforming understanding of the self and the world. Another trajectory explores the history of the intersections of rhetoric and philosophy, and in particular, Schopenhauer’s implicit rhetorical theory.

Where both trajectories intersect is in the domain of figural language and its role in enacting ontological inquiry.
