Meghan Marie Greenwood PhD

STEM books for ages 10 & under. Meghan Marie Greenwood, PhD is a medical writer, dance/fitness instructor, and a proud Pittsburgh mommy of 2 boys. She received her doctorate in Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh after dedicating many years in research to type 1 diabetes at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Additionally, she is the co-owner of BaM Choreography, which provides family dance classes in positive, energetic environments. She is passionate about spreading knowledge and wellness to children in the community and beyond. After reading to her oldest one evening, she was amazed by the ability of her son to pick up complex concepts when they were simplified down to 1 or 2 sentences. From that point on, she focused on developing a series to introduce kids to complex STEAM fields. At the request of her readers, Meghan has expanded the series to 14 volumes to date; each book focuses on a different career and engages children with colorful illustrations and easy language. Meghan continues to develop the series, taking requests from other moms and dads to introduce their career to their kids. The My Little Dreamer Series is an excellent way to encourage excitement in young children that may lead to exploration of the field as they grow into adults!
