Kate Scott

I am a linguist based at Kingston University in London, UK. I work on the pragmatics of language and communication, and I am interested in how we convey meaning in everyday communication, online and in literary texts. I have written on reference, prosody and on the pragmatics of online communication, and I work within the relevance theory framework of utterance interpretation.
