Nico Daswani

关于作者

Nico Daswani is an author and arts producer. He comes from a half French, half British Indian family. He grew up in Marseille, France, and has lived in Paris, London, Los Angeles, and New York. From a very young age, he used to sit between his Indian and his French grandmothers and translate what they were saying to each other in their own languages. He became fascinated by what we can learn from people from different cultures. For the past twenty five years he has worked with artists from around the world to help them tell their stories. One of the things he is most proud of was producing the first international tour of the Afghan Women’s Orchestra. He is an Executive Producer of the Emmy Award–winning virtual reality films "Collisions" and "Awavena". "Markine and the Secret Door" is his first novel, which he first wrote in French ("Markine et la Porte Secrète"), after ten years of improvising stories for his daughters every night, and which he has now translated into English. He lives in Geneva, Switzerland with his wife and two daughters.
