Ken Braithwaite was born in Scarborough, North Yorkshire on 18.06.1937 and when the family moved back to Middlesbrough he was educated there. A brief spell with Whitbread's the brewers
was followed by joining the Insurance profession, retiring in 2001 as a Director of a large Commercial Insurance Brokers.
With his long term partner Doreen, he has enjoyed 20 years of retirement and includes as his hobbies, Fly fishing, shooting, playing guitar and vocals in a ban called' The Breeze,' restores old small motorbikes and is a member of Rotary : and now writes.
He remains a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and a recent Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.
