I have always enjoyed reading books set in the long ago, classic tales from another time. I began to realize what appealed to me was that the writers actually lived during the time they were writing about. This made it all seem so real as though I had stepped back in time with them. "Some of my best friends live in books." I wanted to give kids today that same feeling. To be able to look back into another time period, my books are based in the 1960s and early 1970s. I invite my readers to step back in time with me. Enter the town of Oakwood and meet Buck and his friends. Join them in their adventures. I refer to this time period as back in the day. In my next book the adventure is bigger, bolder and the boys are older. So buckle up.
