Jo Avery has been sewing and quilting since she was a child, and began writing her blog a decade ago. Her love of intricate techniques such as needle-turn appliqué and embroidery combined with a passion for colourful improv piecing allows her to embrace both traditional and modern quilting. She is a regular contributor to a number of quilt and embroidery publications and her first solo book is New Patchwork and Quilting Basics published by Stash in early 2020.
