Born and raised in the idyllic little town of Nampa, Idaho, Shelly graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Early Childhood Development and Psychology. She was a kindergarten teacher before she discovered her passion for the creative world of storytelling for children. Drawn to the imaginative world of stories from an early age, Shelly is now known and loved for her memorable poems and equally captivating children's stories with chock-full of engaging plots and lovable characters. With a slew of relatively successful children's books under her belt, Shelly also serves as the president for a local meet-up for writers in her area and has won several awards for authors in her category. When she isn't crafting children's stories, Shelly Rollins enjoys going on hikes, blogging about DIY crafts and running a small counseling business for troubled couples and families alongside her husband. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, Jack and their two little boys.
