Alexandra Castrillón Gómez (Bogotá, 1978) is a Colombian writer who has made the world her literary stage. Her works explore themes such as unconventional love, the search for identity, and the ethical challenges posed by technology, all with a fresh, innovative, and contemporary narrative style. A systems engineer by training, she left her successful career in marketing in 2019 to dedicate herself fully to literature. She has twice received the Isabel Allende Prize at the International Latino Book Awards (silver medal) for her novels «Me muero por vivir» and «Detrás de mi nombre» (in 2021 and 2022, respectively), becoming the first person to achieve this double recognition. In 2021, she was selected for the Writers Mentorship Program of Latinx in Publishing, and in 2023, she was awarded the Publication Grant by the Colombian Ministry of Culture for her novel «Llena eres de culpa». In 2024, she was chosen as one of 20 female writers to participate in LAB Macondo (a project by the Colombian Film Academy, Netflix, the Gabo Foundation, and the Ministry of Culture) to adapt her novel «Entre redes» into an audiovisual format. She has also published «Una sola línea» (a collection of short stories), «Unos minutos de amnesia» (short stories, Sílaba Editores, 2024), and has contributed to the anthologies «#NiLocasNiSolas» (El Beisman, 2023) and «Antología de cuento colombiano contemporáneo» (Torre de Historias, 2023).
