Douglas Michalak

Doug Michalak has been a committed follower of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah since 1975, having been ignited to serve Him from the tender age of four. The LORD gave him an unusual interest in the spiritual and the ability to understand deep Scriptural insights from a very young age; so he grew up spiritually at the same time as those who were adults during the ‘Jesus People’ movement and subsequent Charismatic Renewal. Having also been gifted musically, he began leading worship through music at the age of seven, because his home congregation saw the interest and began investing themselves in him. This began a ministry of over 35 years leading worship through music in many different churches, the last ten years being with the Association of Vineyard Churches. During the late 1980’s and early 90’s, he was a pioneer in using contemporary rock music as an authentic expression of worship, before this became popular in the Western Church as a whole. While earning his B.A. at Anderson University in Indiana, Doug was compelled by the Holy Spirit to study the history of the Western Christian Church, and this began a journey of discovery that has shown him where God is calling the Western Church to move at this critical time in history. The LORD called Doug to write what he has learned, and so in 2011, he set aside the music temporarily to bring this timely and vital information to the Church. He runs judeochristianincharlotte.com, an informational website for those drawn by God to seek a Biblically Judeo-Christian expression of their faith, and has now written three books. Doug lives in the Charlotte, NC area with his wife Angela; together, they have three children.
