Here are some things about me that you might not know from reading the book.

I'm shy, but sometimes an extrovert. I like detail and organization and spreadsheets. I've cataloged my 2,470-book home library in a database.

I am a NAUI-certified scuba diver and I have a boating license. I used to ride a motorcycle.

Small talk irritates me, probably because I'm lousy at it. I don't like being cold, but I do like puzzling in front of a lit fireplace on winter evenings.

I feel good when I'm nurturing plants and animals and family. I like starting herbs and vegetables from seeds, and propagating grapevines and Rhododendron from cuttings. I make wine and work with stained glass.
