Zoë Armstrong writes picture books and illustrated non-fiction for children. She trained as a journalist and works as a freelance writer in Brighton.
Growing up in Oxford and Paris, Zoë pored over the books of Arnold Lobel, Maurice Sendak and Judith Kerr – books that told stories with pictures as well as words. The rhythms of their writing have stayed with her ever since.
In 2018, Zoë won a contest to have her work illustrated live at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. In 2019, she received the SCBWI Margaret Carey Scholarship for Picture Book Writers.
