During my retirement I try to maintain an outlook that is positive and kindness towards myself and those around me is my guide. I share my insights with a sincere and genuine purpose to be helpful and enrich the retirement transition. There is a process to retirement that is explained throughout the book. Taking a proactive role in retirement is probably the best advice I can give anyone. I've assumed the role of author to share with family, friends and those who could use some guidance, encouragement and direction that I want to help all of us be happier and fulfilled. The days in retirement can be filled with rewarding experiences. I hope we all share these times with everyone around us and make many new friends. This holistic approach works for me and I hope you give it a chance too!
After receiving my Master's degree at Syracuse University, I moved with my wife to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I started a retail business and we raised three children. Our transition into retirement began thirty years later when I sold my business and we moved to Florida where we enjoy the sunshine state. I play the sport of pickleball with fellow retirees and play the mountain dulcimer (see YouTube) with joyful enthusiasm. I also go windsufing and have a small Hobie Cat sailboat. I recently became a grandfather and experienced the cycle of life when I looked into my grandson's eyes. I actually have another idea to pursue which is to write a movie script. Enjoy retirement. You deserve it! You can also go to the Facebook page" Retirement: The First 365 Days" to see what I am up to recently.
