Dr. David L Dawson M.D.

David L. Dawson, MD, FACS, DFSVS is a vascular surgeon and educator. After graduating from the University of Southern California School of Medicine, he completed a residency and fellowship at the University of Washington. Subsequently, he has been a visiting fellow at Emory University and the Mayo Clinic. He served in the US Air Force, retiring at the rank of colonel, with experience in aerospace medicine, trauma care, simulation, and medical education. Dr. Dawson's research has included medical management of vascular disease, treatment of vascular injuries, and uses of non-invasive vascular testing. He is a busy clinical surgeon with Baylor Scott & White Health in Central Texas and he serves in leadership roles for multiple professional societies, accrediting bodies, and certifying organizations.
