Alan Hounshell

Writing — the last frontier. These are the voyages of an author who now can get AARP benefits, whose mission is to create new stories and characters to entertain the book-loving population, hoping that any movie adapted from his works is well directed and acted. Alan was born in 1965. He enjoys music from the 30s through the 80s and well-made movies from those years. For Alan, growing up, Saturday mornings were cartoons and cereal till noon, with outdoor play afterward that was imaginative, pulling themes from shows like Star Trek (original) and The Six Million Dollar Man. Alan has written over ten books and considers himself an author who independently publishes stories he likes. He has a master's in clinical psychology from Morehead State University and has spent the last 30 years working in children's mental health services. He has been married to his lovely wife, Lenore, since 1999. His children are all adults now learning the lessons of life. Alan just recently became a first-time grandparent. He and his wife live in western Tennessee with their dog, Ginger, and two indoor cats, Binx and Callie, and their adopted feral cat, Midnight. Alan has many more books planned and hopes he gains a reading audience in his new location and his books are read across the globe. He plans to do more book fairs in the future to promote his books and get to know other aspiring authors.
