I'm a children's book writer and illustrator. I've always enjoyed creating new stories and my love of drawing began as a young child, from the time I could grab a pencil. I drew daily, bringing my notebook and pencil wherever I went. To the present day, my bag contains something to draw with, a notebook, and one or two books to keep me entertained. When my children came along, I started writing stories and drawing characters for them. I had never imagined this, but before long the beloved hobby that created joy for my children expanded to a career in illustrating for friends, and then later, authors of children’s books. Suddenly my beloved hobby became something that completely absorbed me. It became what I do, and what I get paid for.
