Chelsea is an intimacy choreographer, coordinator, and educator. She is Co-Founder and Head Faculty of Theatrical Intimacy Education and Assistant Professor of Movement at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She has been working on developing ethical, efficient, and effective systems for staging intimacy, nudity, and sexual violence for over 10 years. Her book, Staging Sex, is forthcoming from Routledge Publishing in March 2020. Chelsea is the current President of The Association for Theatre Movement Educators. In addition to intimacy, she specializes in devised work, physical theatre, clown, stage combat, mask, as well as traditional theatre movement methods.
