Ash Warren (1960 -) was born in Sydney and has lived in Japan since 1992. He is a writer, translator, university lecturer and the president of J. Communication KK which provides language training and translation services to business. He has a teaching licence from the Urasenke School of Tea, and has lectured and written on Japanese culture for many years.
He is the author of the short story collection 'Beautiful Moon and the Cherry Blossom Bomb', 'The Way of Salt: Sumo and the Culture of Japan' (Silman James Press) 'The Language Code: How to Effectively Learn Foreign Languages', 'Breakthrough: Mastering the Japanese Writing System' and more recently the Penelope Middleton Japanese Murder Mystery series which includes 'Dark Tea' and 'The Quiet Game', The Singing Blade, 'The Fox Spirit', and 'Red Zen'.
He lives with his wife and family in Tokyo.
