Matthew Brazil

Matt Brazil, PhD is a Contributing Editor to SpyTalk (https://www.spytalk.co/) and a Research Fellow with the Jamestown Foundation. He writes about the Chinese Communist Party, its security services, and the related problems of American businesses in China. Matt served in U.S. Army Intelligence, the Commerce Department's Office of Export Enforcement, and the American Embassy in Beijing before entering the private sector to conduct security investigations for American companies in Asia. He studied Chinese communist politics at Berkeley, Harvard, and Sydney. Chinese Communist Espionage, An Intelligence Primer is his first book. He is completing a work of fiction set in China and researching a second nonfiction book.
