Tamara Rittershaus

Tamara Rittershaus is a kid-lit author and editor specializing in picture books and poetry. An expat mom and a Montessori kindergarten teacher, Tamara lives with her tri-lingual family in Magdeburg, Germany. Tamara is the founder of Pull a Wagon Publishing, a boutique publisher of children’s books that are engaging and educational. Tamara’s MERMAID REEF series includes picture books Mermaids Don’t Fart, Mermaid's School of Art, and The Race on Mermaid Reef, plus two early-reader comics Eel’s Book of Mermaid Jokes and Shrimp’s Book of Fun Animal Facts. Picture book Marie’s Big Adieu speaks to the heart of every child who's said a "big goodbye" and moved away from a friend. Tamara is the creator of Jumpstart to Reading ABC: Learning the Alphabet with the Montessori Method.
