John Cagle

John Cagle grew up in a small town in North Georgia. He returned after college to teach in his hometown high school. After a few years, and after his interest in law enforcement grew, he joined the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as a special agent. He rose through the ranks and in 2008 retired a the Special Agent Charge (SAC) of an investigative field office. After retiring, he went to work as the commander of the investigative division of a local sheriff's office, and later became the chief deputy sheriff. He worked thirty-six years as a criminal investigator. For several years he was an adjunct professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of North Georgia and taught courses in criminal investigations. He lives in a cabin on top of a mountain in North Georgia and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, including the youngest granddaughter, whose name is Emerson.
