Lauren is a New Englander who identifies as a Mom first and foremost. She has her Masters in Child Development and works in the mental health field. Lauren spent 5 years providing individual and family therapy to children in group homes. Currently, she works with single parents to help them find jobs. Writing has always been her main passion. "Kind Katie" is her first children's book. The message, that kindness can change the world, is one she truly believes in. Lauren resides in Rhode Island with her fiancé, their "sassy threenager", and their puppy Buster.
