Thomas Hughes

关于作者

Thomas Hughes grew up on a 330-acre farm in West Virginia in the ’60s and ’70s. The diversity of plants and animals raised was such that the local population referred to it more as a petting zoo than a farm. To help pay for college, Thomas played guitar in rock bands. After college, he joined the army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel with 34-years of service and 3 combat tours. It was during the latter years with the national guard that Thomas starting working for the railroad as a freight conductor and locomotive engineer. After 16 years with freight trains, Thomas retired to Peru to play among the Incan ruins and feast on the best food in this world. Alas, this too shall pass, and now Thomas is “retired” once more as a world traveler, this time in Texas, and is embarking upon the journey of the author.
