Anthony has been writing since age seven, but a love for filmmaking led him down a different road. As a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E.) Local 52 Prop Department, Anthony has worked on over thirty feature films and dozens of TV shows. Credits include: Malcolm X, A Bronx Tale, the Sopranos, Julie & Julia and Law and Order.
Although sidetracked by this demanding career, the writing "bug" never left. While raising two boys with his spirited and dedicated wife Barbara, Anthony found time to write screenplays, attaining recognition from the Academy's Nicholl Fellowship Competition twice, and having another screenplay optioned.
Now, coming full circle, Anthony is focusing on children's stories, which happen to bring him the most satisfaction. He chose Grayson and the Great Crayon Secret as his first venture, adapting an original story he wrote way, way back in second grade.
Having survived a three-year battle with cancer, he decided to forego the traditional publishing route. "I'm writing for myself now, eager to get some of my ideas and stories out there. I hope, of course, others will find them enjoyable. Today's technology has afforded me the opportunity to do that, and I'm incredibly grateful."
