A Mechanical Engineer and an MBA from IIM Bangalore, Bhaswar quit dabbling in the world of finance in multinational banks -Bank of America and HSBC after close to eighteen years. In 2005, he set up his own company Bridgepoint Solutions Pvt Ltd, which provides consultancy and learning solutions in the banking domain. Bhaswar calls himself an accidental writer. He has contributed to eleven anthologies, India’s first composite novel (Limca Book of records entry) and in 2020 published his solo anthology “it happens- Stories of Human Relationships” for which the Navi Mumbai Chambers of Business and Industries in association with the Great Human University recognised him as the Best Storyteller 2021’ at the Indian Authors Conference and Awards -November 21. Many of his short stories have been shortlisted among the top 10 winners for the prompts in the Write India contests by The Times of India by Amitav Ghosh, Ashwin Sanghi, Upamanyu Chatterjee, Vivek Shanbhag, Tuhin Sinha and Nayantara Sahgal. His stories have been selected by Sudha Murty, Ravinder Singh for their curated anthologies and published by Penguin Random House. In 2022 his debut nonfiction The Counterfeiter- Abdul Karim Telgi and the Stamp Scam’ was published by Om Books International and became an Amazon best seller in the first month of its release for True Accounts. Ukiyoto Publishing has selected him as an awardee for “Non-Fiction-Emerging Author of the Year” for this book.
