Dominique James is an educator with 15 years of experience in the field. She has always had a passion for teaching and learning. Dr. James has taught 3rd & 5th grade, been a math instructional leader, and project director of a Department of Defense Education Activity K-12 Partnership Grant which has inspired her current advocacy work. As a military spouse, she considers it an honor to not only advocate for her own military kids, but for military children everywhere. Dr. James studied Elementary Education at Winthrop University, obtained a Master of Education Degree from Columbia College, and holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Her husband currently serves in the United States Air Force, and they have two sons.
