Monica Ruda is a DELTA qualified freelance ELT published writer and teacher trainer who has worked in the ELT industry since 2010. Based in the UK, she specialises in exam and adult teaching/learning materials. Monica's wonderful adventure in the English Language Teaching world began in December 2009, when she completed her CertTesol course in London. A few months later, she went to the Czech Republic, for her first teaching post. After that, Monica went on to teach in Italy, and then returned to the UK, where she completed her Delta course, while working as a Senior Teacher in Cambridge. Throughout her teaching career, Monica taught a wide variety of students encompassing diverse backgrounds, different age groups – from young learners to adults, and a range of levels - from beginners to advanced. She gained extensive experience in teaching one-to-one, mono and multilingual groups, IELTS and Cambridge exam preparation courses, as well as EAP and Business classes. In London, Monica had the opportunity to work alongside an excellent tutor, who guided her in becoming a CertTesol teacher trainer. That’s when she fell in love with materials and content writing. As a Senior Teacher, both in London and Cambridge, Monica had the privilege of designing and delivering teacher training courses, CPD sessions, and a webinar for EF Language Schools. Bitten by the writing bug, Monica started researching and writing about ELT-related topics. Her notes and thoughts developed into published articles. Monica now focuses on writing digital and print materials aimed at teachers and students for a range of UK and international clients.
