Christopher Lock is a proud native of Michigan, born and raised in 'Ford Country'. A prolific author of nearly 30 successful books, Chris' publications cover regional history, biographies, Hollywood, television, science-fiction, business, historical reference, ancestral research, and even a cookbook, all available on Amazon. Most of his focus has been on the Great Lake State and Metro Detroit, including the history and memories of the Michigan State Fair, Kresge’s & Kmart, WKBD-Channel 50, Kellogg’s, historic Detroit, and Dearborn & the Ford Motor Company. Chris’ motivation to write is simple; he writes the books that he and others would like to read, but don't yet exist. Chris has three Masters Degrees, including two from Michigan State University, and has also taught at the university level. He has given numerous presentations on his books as sponsored by the Metro Detroit public library system. His career spans more than 40 years in the automotive, industrial, commercial, and military environment in engineering, project management, and global procurement. He has worked for companies such as Chrysler Corporation, American Axle & Manufacturing, Rolls-Royce Power Systems, Albemarle Chemical, and Hertz Equipment Rental. Besides being a published author of a wide variety of topics and genre, Chris is also the Executive Vice President of Strategic Sourcing for CenterLine Publishing & Consulting. He currently resides in SW Florida with his wife, Maggie.
