Currently an Associate Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, I graduated from the University of Southern California with a PhD in Communication, focus in Rhetoric, Politics, and Publics. I am a rhetorician interested in scientific controversies, specifically when they involve identity, ideologies, the environment, religion, technology, and the body. My primary research areas are climate communication, scientific controversies, rhetoric of science, the intersection of science and religion, narrative, and argumentation (and their various intersections).
