关于作者

I'm interested in squeezing the facts out of ancient primary sources and creating an exotic yet somehow familiar stage. I'm a bit of a recluse and social-media phobic, but it gives me plenty of time to research digital libraries all over the world (the Vatican, Spain, Germany, the UK). My overall view of history is that prominent figures weren't bigger than life, pompous, preening aristocrats. They weren't LIKE us ... they *WERE* us. Personalities and behaviors are recognizable today over 1000's of years of distance. People are people. Since I maintain that historical figures aren't really that different from the guy down the street, I use humor to make it interesting, light reading. A little bit of "Friends", a little bit of "Scrubs", a little bit of Indiana Jones, and a distant whiff of Robert Graves. Step into a world where you'd feel comfortable in a one-shoulder sheath dress, kilt, or tunic. Wear the sandals with toes: it's dark and there's rocks. Please visit my website. There's a little more information on the books and characters, but a lot of annotated facts that I used for references on Ptolemaic/Hellenistic Egypt. I didn't create a fantasy environment, I just watched people move around in a well documented world. cleopatrakebab.net
