Articles by Clifford Roberts have appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers, and he is the author or co-author of three books.

In 1981, Cliff graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.A. in Southern History. Two years later he received an M.B.A. from Emory University. Cliff spent the next 15 years working in transportation management, working for Roadway Express and Transport South, Inc., before becoming president & co-founder of Georgia Tank Lines.

In 2001, Cliff changed vocations, becoming a middle school teacher at River Trail Middle School in Johns Creek, Georgia. He spent 15 years as a social studies teacher, working mostly with talented and gifted students. In 2011-2012, his teaching colleagues selected him as Teacher of the Year. Cliff is currently the Executive Director of the Roberts Foundation, founded by William C. Roberts, MD.

Cliff is an active member of several historical and preservation associations. He is currently the President of the General Barton & Stovall History/Heritage Association. Since 1987, Cliff has been married to Vicki Lee Martin Roberts, a Senior Account Executive with Pricefx. They are the parents of two adult children. Cliff & Vicki split their time between Charleston, South Carolina and Brevard, North Carolina.
