Anthony Delstretto was born and raised in blue-collar Detroit, Michigan, the grandson of Italian and Eastern European immigrants. For over forty years he worked as a teacher and administrator at schools in the Midwest and West. Having a strong interest in genealogy and cultural heritage, upon his retirement, he penned and published his first historical fiction novel, 'The Last Italian, A Saga in Three Parts'. After a hiatus of four years, he has released his second book, 'The Ever Faithful Isle, A Novel of Old Cuba' which, like his first, is a multigenerational saga of related characters confronting violent historical events.
