As the daughter of a diplomat, Pamela Posz traveled the world in her childhood, with stops in Morocco, Los Angeles, Virginia, Alaska, Canada, India, New Zealand, and California. All of those travels were a great background for majoring in Anthropology at the University of California, Davis, where she also majored in Art and worked at the campus library as a book shelver. After graduation, she was fortunate enough to get a job at the Library of Congress in the Prints & Photographs Division where her interest in the library profession was solidified. After a few years, she attended graduate school and received her Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois. After moving back to Sacramento and working in a variety of libraries in the area, she landed at Sacramento City College, where she’s worked ever since. She enjoys being a librarian and running the Library and Information Technology Program where she has the pleasure of introducing students to the wonderful field of libraries and guide them into the workforce. In her spare time, Pamela enjoys relaxing at home, making art, reading, and spending time with her family, as well as her 2 cats and 2 dogs.
