He is responsible for performing radar system design and analysis. His current areas of research include radar receivers, advanced signal processing methodologies, CFAR processing, detection theory and AESAs. He is responsible for generating assessments of ground based and airborne radars, seekers, and integrated air defense systems, including performance analyses and specific radar designs. Mr. German’s expertise includes the following areas: radar system repair and alignment, radar system and subsystem performance analysis, environment and target modeling, waveform analysis and design, signal processor analysis, radar system design, radar subsystem design, signal processor hardware prototyping, development of mathematical models from measured data, radar system and subsystem simulation and emulation, radar ECM and ECCM, and phased array and AESA theory. Mr. German is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and holds memberships in Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Association of Old Crows. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University and an associate’s degree in electronics technology from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He currently teaches internal classes at Dynetics covering topics such as general radar theory, detection theory, digital receivers, filter theory, and analog/digital signal processing, and electronic warfare.
