David Tokajer has been a believer in Yeshua (Jesus) as his Messiah since a young age and has felt a deep calling for ministry for most of his life.
David is the rabbi of a Messianic Jewish synagogue on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, he has grown up in the Messianic Jewish movement and his father and father-in-law are both Messianic Jewish rabbis as well. In 2001, David married his high school sweetheart, Danielle. In 2004, the they moved to Nyack, NY to attend Nyack College, where David studied in the Messianic Jewish Studies program and served as rabbinic intern at at Messianic Jewish synagogue in Long Island and from 2009-2011, David served as the associate rabbi of a congregation in South Georgia.
David has served in rabbinic roles in congregations in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, New York and Georgia. He has helped plant synagogues across the Gulf Coast as well as in Manhattan, NY, and in 2011 he felt called to rely on God and the experience He has provided to plant Congregation Mayim Chayim in Daphne, AL.
David is always amazed and excited at the miraculous Hand of God. Everything he has experienced, all the congregations he has worked in and been a part of, and all of the rabbis he has worked under culminate into what is Congregation Mayim Chayim, as well as his leadership style. He is always open and available whether you are in need of prayer, council or just need to talk. The passion and desire to see the Jewish world cry out Baruch Haba B'Shem ADONAI (Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord) and to see future generations rise up to serve the Living God of All Creation is an ever burning flame that keeps them energized in the work of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) in their lives.
